Outreach programs

As part of the Museum's education programs, the Museum offers off-site educational programming that is brought to your location--either school, business, or activity center. Our programs range from Arkansas History, Civil War, and World War II. We have a wide range of programs available or we can create a program to meet your content, curriculum, age level, or activities needs. Lesson Plans, curriculum, and more

In our hopes to better serve the needs of educators in the state of Arkansas, the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History strives to provide lesson plans, classroom activities, unit curriculum and other classroom materials that coordinate and meet Arkansas Frameworks, as well as National Social Studies Frameworks. The materials available are listed by topic or unit. Those that do not fit under a topic are listed under miscellaneous. Teacher Development Workshops

The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History provides Arkansas Department of Education approved teachers' workshops for area teachers. Workshops include economics, Arkansas History, hands-on classroom activities, and range in grades from k-12. The Museum's education staff also presents workshops at the Arkansas Curriculum Conference. If you would like to schedule a teachers' workshop contact Heather Bettinardi.
