individual stories of men and women who served our country during World
War II. They portray the various theaters of conflict, scenes from camp
life, the American home front, and war's destruction and its impact on
individuals--civilians as well as soldiers. Captions for these unique
photographs come from the original cutlines designated by the
photographers and the ACME wire service.
