Nice, France -- The camouflage dress on the buildings along the Quai des Etats-Unis, famous waterfront boulevard in Nice, signifies its change from a famous southern France resort to an important war objective. Nice was liberated by Allied invasion forces in southern France in the same week that Paris and Marsaille were taken.
