Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers play an essential part in the museum's dual role of educating the public and preserving the past through the conservation of artifacts. Volunteers also contribute to our mission to interpret Arkansas's rich military heritage to local, state, national, and international audiences.

This image needs a cutline identifying the volunteer and hinting at what she's doing. The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History offers volunteer opportunities to persons interested in research, educational outreach, exhibit development, oral history, collections management, and interpretive tours. The benefits to volunteers include learning more about our state's military past, meeting people with similar interests, learning new skills, and helping the enrich the visitor's experience of the historic Arsenal Building.

When available, the museum offers summer internships and graduate assistantship positions through the Public History Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
