Alger Cadet Gun Exhibit

Opening July 3, 2008
10am

One of two Alger Cadet guns produced in 1851 for the Arkansas Military Institute will be exhibited at the MacArthur Museum beginning July 3. On loan from the Petersburg National Battlefield, this artillery piece produced by Cyrus Alger & Company will be displayed for the first time in Arkansas. In conjunction with its return, an oil portrait of Lt. William Rector, son of Governor Henry Rector, will debut at the Museum. Lt. Rector was killed at the Battle of Helena on July 4, 1863. World Fest

Clinton Presidential Park

The theme for this year's World Fest is Diversity and Environmental Education For All. This year's event will change venue to the Clinton Presidential Park instead of historic MacArthur Park as in years past. The Museum will participate and will offer wonderful arts and craft activities as well as a fun geography hunt. The winner of the hunt will be awarded a prize. Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre

Figure out who committed the crime as you become the detective in this comical tale of murder, mayhem, and horror within one of the most haunted buildings in the southern United States.
